I heard that Jhonen signed a contract with Nick to bring back the show. Some video on Fanpop is what started these rumors. But are they true? Is the show coming back ~Night

That video is not only
old but also taking information out of context. We’ll keep you all posted.

wasabianime:

First and foremost: THANK YOU to everyone who pledged and worked to try and make the Kickstarter a success. Your faith (and show of faith via pledging funds) really means a lot to those of us behind the Invader ZIM Fan Convention. We sincerely and whole heartedly appreciate all…

Hi. Any recent news on the making of "The Irken Antennae"?

My webmaster needs time to focus on real-life endeavors. I am cool with that because he’s been doing all of it for free.

Why DID Nick take Zim off the air AGAIN? Do they not like Zim anymore? Has Project Massive failed? Does turkey hold less fat than chicken? Overall, I'm worried!<:(

It was not Nick because Zim hasn’t been on Nick in years.
It was Nicktoons and Nicktoons took off a LOT of shows. Zim was supposed to move to Saturday mornings so my GUESS is the sudden change may not reflect on Zim’s success but Nicktoons undergoing change.

Does it worry you all that Zim was completely taken off of Nicktoons schedule and their website? And do y'all have any info on why it was taken off, because I thought that Nicktoons loved Zim.

It’s still on the site actually. Also a lot of Nicktoons got removed from rotations. We’d love to get some specific information but thats beyond our informants’ knowledge. It did get in the way of a plan of ours involving licensed merch and eliminating the “wears Gir merch… has no clue he’s from TV” trend but oh well. Wait and see I suppose.

Are you guys actually legitimate or is it just another generic Zim revival group?

All depends what you consider generic. A lot of hopeful and well meaning fans think collecting a list of followers is somehow enough to bring it back. Facebook follower counts, petitions, polls, etc do NOT work and this is partly because it is too easy to participate let alone cheat.
Letters, events, sales: these things make a difference.

As for our legitimacy… invitations to host panels at Invadercon, invitation to guest judge the official tee design contest at WeLoveFine.com, news exclusivity deal with Zim game developer Art of Play studi, warm acknowledgment via panels and social media by key cast/crew, and a tweet acknowledgment from Nickelodeon’s official social media team.

Generic THAT.

Do you guys have an exit plan depending on if the show comes back or not?

Great question.
What we’d like to do in that situation is find out WHY and back it up with on-record statements from Jhonen.
He seems really busy regardless of what Nick may say so let’s assume that he says he’s too busy… then we continue to rally for other nice things in the world of Zim.

I don't appreciate being kept in the dark. I want to know what the status of project massive is and I want to know now.

No. It doesn’t work that way.
We told our informants it would remain off the record until feasible to announce.
You want us to be able to make a difference? Maintaining legitimacy by continuing to be trustworthy is how we do that.
Also the demands won’t persuade people and says more about you than it ever could of us.

How many fans does Operation Head Pigeons have now? How many do you need to bring back Zim?

Well it is not that easy. Number count increases likelihood we can meet a goal but we’re not a web petition list of names or anything. That’s not an accurate/unbiased measurement of a show’s likelihood to succeed. Anyone can click a button and anyone can set up multiple emails.

I can't seem to find Invader Zim on Netflix! Last time I checked Zim wasn't listed under "Just for Kids" anymore and had to find it through search. I also saw that when I clicked on it, there was a date on the side that said "Streaming Until" or something like that. I can't remember the date, but it must have past. Do you thin we'll see Invader Zim again on Netflix?

All Viacom shows are off Netflix for the time being. Netflix is opting to get specific Viacom shows rather than all of ‘em in the future. I’m sure Zim is successful enough for Netflix to want it.
If not…. we got iTunes!

Invader Zim Convention Needs Your Help! (An Official Press Release)

FANS TURN TO KICKSTARTER TO HELP CREATE ANOTHER INVADER ZIM THEMED CONVENTION.

Funding reached 60% in less than ten days, but it still needs help to succeed over the next two weeks!

(ORLANDO, May 17, 2013) InvaderCON, the unofficial Invader ZIM fan convention, is attempting to create a third event planned to take place somewhere in the middle United States in 2014 through the use of crowd funding.  The event, being built via the popular Kickstarter website, was conceived as an opportunity for fans of the popular Invader ZIM cartoon to meet members of the show’s cast and crew, but were unable to do show when the convention was hosted on the East Coast in 2011 and the West Coast 2012.

The project’s funding goal of $33,333 was agreed upon by the convention’s promoters, Green Mustard Entertainment, based on the basic operational costs of the first two InvaderCON events: space rental, flights, hotel stays, insurance, etc.  From the InvaderCON III Kickstarter page:

“The biggest problem, though, was time and resources vs. risk.  While Green Mustard Entertainment is a company, it’s NOT the “primary job” of any of the owners or staff.  It’s a creative fan convention company that designs events to support the geek community.

Ars gratia artis and whatnot.

InvaderCON, unlike our other projects (like Florida Anime Experience,) isn’t an annual show in a local city.  Normal conventions build a fan base in a specific area and continue to grow.  InvaderCON’s attendees (at both conventions) are only about 20% locals.  Over 80% of InvaderCON attendees are from outside the convention’s host city.  This makes predicting attendance and budgeting VERY tricky and EXTREMELY risky.”

Fans who contribute via Kickstarter, regardless of amount, will have a voice in selecting the host city for the convention (tentatively named “InvaderCON III: FINAL DOOM.”)  Pledge levels include perks such as passes, t-shirts, items signed by voice actors, and more.

While the Kickstarter Project launched with amazing momentum, the fans and Green Mustard Entertainment are reaching out to various online blogs and news sources to help get the word out to make this project a success.

Complete details of the Kickstarter can be found at www.invadercon.com/kickstarter.

What is Kickstarter?  You can read about it here: www.kickstarter.com/hello

We haven't heard from you guys for a few weeks, something's going on with the revival plan I take it?

I do the most public work on Facebook and I’ve been caught up in school. We wanted to get a big side mission going but Nicktoons needs to put Zim back on rotation again for it to work.

The Kids Choice Awards are coming up, who here thinks that Invader Zim should be nominated for Best Cartoon? If not this year, then what about 2014? Overall, Zim deserves an award of some kind.

Let’s wait until it’s in production first. :)

Has there been any word on if Nickelodeon is even considering bringing back IZ?

We noticed that two months after Project Massive… Zim went from graveyard slot on Nicktoons all week long to then having breakfast and daytime hours on weekdays.
It is now going to be on Saturday mornings instead of when kids are in school or are in bed.
